Iron is an integral compound of many proteins and enzymes that maintain good health and a strong immune system. It contributes to the formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, leading to normal oxygen transport in the body. Iron also participates in normal energy- yielding metabolism and helps in the reduction of fatigue and tiredness.
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies, resulting in fatigue and decreased immunity. If left untreated, it can lead to anaemia. Women are among those at greatest risk due to blood loss during the menstrual cycle. Pregnant and menstruating women, the elderly, athletes, adolescents and vegetarians may have an increased dietary requirement for iron.
EmelinFF liquid is an innovative, safe and easy to use iron formulation which combines the suggested daily dosage of iron in the form of microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate and folic acid and B12 for greater efficacy. EmelinFF liquid provides maximum and controlled absorption, which is gentle on the stomach.
The addition of Folic acid makes EmelinFF liquid suitable for pregnant women, as well. Supplemental Folic acid increases maternal folate status and thus reduces the risk for neural tube defects in the developing foetus.
Vitamin B12 plays role for nervous system function and reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety. B12 and folic acid are involved in energy production and metabolism.
